I love finding little snippets of other people’s
thoughts which illuminate my life.
Here’s one from the German philosopher, Nietzsche, which I found in, of
all things, a detective story:
“It’s better to regret what you have done than what you
never did.”
This is a profoundly Metal thought. The life of those of the Metal element
revolves around their deep need to assign to things their true value, and has
as its necessary accompaniment the regret they may feel if they do not assess
things correctly.
